Quick Start Guide
INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to Environmental Reports!
EnvironmentalReports is an integrated solution that allows you to manage project, documents, and people more efficiently. It encompasses two aspects: data collection applications and a website portal.
This guide will walk you through the basics of EnvironmentalReports and help you get started quickly!
Before we begin, the following terms will help you better understand the topics of discussion:
• Subdomain: Your company’s EnvironmentalReports online workspace
• Account: A username and password used to access your Subdomain
• Sync: The process in which you send jobs from the iTouch, iPhone, or iPad or to your online workspace
• eCOC: An electronic Chain of Custody form (produced by applications)
• Greenlight: Making documents and eCOC’s viewable to partners
01. SIGNING UP:
To begin, visit the EnvironmentalReports site at www.EnvironmentalReports.com.
Navigate to ‘Pricing & Signup’. Select the appropriate plan for your needs and click ‘Signup’ on the bottom of your desired package. This will take you to the Signup Screen.
After completing the Signup page, you can log in to your personal Subdomain.
Your Business Name will be displayed on the upper left corner in your personal EnvironmentalReports.com account, known as your Subdomain.
02. GETTING APPS:
In order to download the eCOC Application from Apple, you must have iTunes and an iTunes account.
To download iTunes, visit the official iTunes webpage at www.apple.com/itunes. Follow the instructions provided by Apple. Once downloaded and installed, create an iTunes.
There are two ways to download the eCOC Application.
You can download the application directly from your iTouch, iPhone, or iPad. To download directly from your Apple product, select the ‘App Store’. Search for ‘eCOC’ and download.
Or you can use iTunes to download the application and manually syncing it to your Apple product. To download from your computer, log into iTunes and search for ‘eCOC’. After downloading the application, you need to sync your Apple product with iTunes to transfer the eCOC.
03. CREATING FIRST JOB:
First, establish a connection on iTouch.
Enter in your Account details. The Account details are the username and password used to access your Subdomain.
To create a new Job, tap ‘+’. Enter in Job details and tap ‘Save’ on the top right.
This will bring you to the first new Sample screen where you can begin sampling.
04. SYNCING TO ONLINE WORKSPACE:
After you are finished gathering samples, you can send the Job to your online workspace.
On the Job screen, tap ‘Edit’ on the top right corner
Circles will appear to the left of each job. Tap the circles and a red checkmark will appear. You can select multiple Jobs to send to your online workspace.
Tap ‘Send’ on the bottom right to Sync.
05. CREATING CHAIN :
After Syncing jobs to your online workspace, you can create your eCOC and send to the laboratory.
In order to Sync jobs to your online workspace, log into your subdomain with your Account information.
On the ‘Dashboard’ tab, locate the ‘iPhone Jobs Awaiting Approval.’ Click on the blue ‘Job ID’ number.
In the green box, click on the circle next to the ‘Job ID’ to select the job.
To send the job to the Laboratory, select ‘Yes’. Fill in required fields, such as ‘Analysis Required’ and ‘Turnaround Time’.
Select desired laboratory from drop down menu.
Fill out any special instructions for the lab in the designated area. Click 'Save'.
06. REVIEW INFORMATION:
On this page you can review all your samples and make any necessary changes by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of each detail.
On the right hand side, you must Greenlight the eCOC to make it viewable by the Lab.
*Remember that the Chain of Custody is a legal document. A paper COC must be included when sending samples to the lab. This COC can be any document with, at least, the inspector’s name, signature, and Job ID number. All eCOC’s created on your online workspace are available to be downloaded and printed. -
